Recon’s World AIDS Day 2017 campaign starts today

from Recon News

01 November 2017

Over the past eleven years Recon members have donated hundreds of thousands of pounds for AIDS charities through our World AIDS Day (WAD) initiatives, and today sees the launch of the 2017 campaign.

As with last year, we're giving all our members to option to add a virtual red ribbon to their Recon profile. You can add a ribbon for free using the button on the WAD home page linked below. The ribbon is a way for you to let those effected by HIV and AIDS know that you stand with them, and we hope that Recon members take this opportunity to show their support for this ongoing fight.

This year our World AIDS Day campaign is supporting National AIDS Trust (NAT).

Founded in 1987, NAT is committed to transforming the UK's response to HIV. They champion the rights of people living with HIV and campaign for change – shaping attitudes, challenging injustice, and changing lives. They do very important work, and we're incredibly happy to be showing them support.

We're donating £2,500 ($3,300/€2,800) to this cause and we welcome you to donate to it as well. You can make donations using the link below.

You don't need to donate to NAT to add a red ribbon to your profile, as we want the ribbons to demonstrate a massive message of support, but any donations you can provide will, as always, be greatly appreciated by NAT and everyone here at Recon.
