We're getting even closer to the full release of the new Recon, and we couldn't have gotten this far without your feedback!
There's still more to do, and more features to add, but we thought we'd take a moment to get back to you with some of your thoughts and questions on what we've released so far.
Over the last few months, we've been able to find and fix a number of issues, we've added a few new features (and taken a few out of the current version of the app/platform) and we know it's stirring up a bit of excitement and frustration.
We know that there's more to do, but we're trying to prioritise what we think is most important in enhancing your experience as soon as possible, and get us closer to releasing your new Recon.
Let's get right to your points:
Performance & Latency Issues
We've prioritised this and have made improvements since your initial feedback. You should be able to view Guys list and filter even faster than before.
Profile Design
We've done a lot of updates since your last feedback. Take a look to see what else has been added.
Role/Position
We've completely rethought this, and you'll be able to separate options for both Role and Position. For example, you'll be able to choose things like Dom, Switch or Sub as a Role option. For Position, you'll be able to choose things like Side, Top or Vers Bottom, etc..
Profile Name Search
This has already been added for both the web and iOS versions of the Pilot, so it's easier for you to find the guys you're looking for.
Online Presence
Of course you want to see who's "online now". This will be implemented soon.
Your Location
This was a big one for many of you, and for us. The location feature has been updated, so what you now see should make a lot more sense. You can pin-point your location to be more precise when adding your location to your profile.
Messaging
We've added a search field to the message window in the Pilot. You can search by username. We are considering keywords for a future release.
Photos
A few of you said you'd like to zoom in on photos. Some of you also wrote to us about image thumbnails being cut off (this seems to be a browser issue, and we're already looking into a fix) and about how to close images.
What's Changed In the Current Recon
Travel Plans: A lot of you have written to say that you miss the feature. We hear you. We'll be looking to bring it back in the future.
Added: Blog, Podcast and Videos have been added to the main menu, so it's easier to find those bits of kinky content and educational bits that we know you enjoy.
What's Coming To The Pilot
Search By Location: Already popular on a few other apps, we're introducing a new feature which will be called 'Explore' and you'll be able to drop a pin on the map and find guys near that location.
Feed: This has, so far, only been released for the Pilot on web. You can follow more guys and see their updates on your Feed. Feed for iOS will be released soon.
Friends and Followers: A quicker way for you to find and connect with friends and other profiles you follow. If you navigate to your profile you will see Friends, Following, Followers. Make your feed a lot more interesting, and follow the guys who keep you coming back for more.
Scene: We'll be moving all of the fun content like Events, Galleries, Videos, Blog and Podcast to a new section which we'll call The Scene. Keep an eye out for updates.
While a lot of changes and updates have already been done, we want you to know that we're always looking through the feedback you leave about your experience, and picking out a few of the points that were mentioned most.
