Recon smash World AIDS Day Campaign target.

A huge thank you to all of you who purchased a red ribbon during our 2007 World AIDS Day campaign. The annual charity promotion closed on 31st December with over 1640 Recon members helping us smash our £10,000 target and raise a total of £14,893 (including Recon’s and Recon staff contributions).
Unlike last year, the promotion was launched in early November, running for almost two months, in order to maximise the opportunity for people to donate – and it appears to have paid dividends (we raised more than double last year’s total of £6754). The proceeds from each ribbon sale will now be donated to AIDS charities around the world (including AMFAR, CANFAR, GMFA, THT and AIDS Action Europe).
It’s a truly amazing result, and we’re proud we’ve been able to help facilitate this great achievement, it’s testament to the great community spirit we find is so often embodied within the Recon family!
